SUCCESSFUL EVENTS :

INTRODUCTION :

The thought of doing something constructive for the Pragati Pathik Society was looming large in the mindset of Sahab Singh(who is a full time social worker), who shared this with his friend Praveen Narang.They thought "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime" and both came to the conclusion that the best way to serve an individual is to teach an individual how to catch fish. They prepared a unique 3 day program on Personality Development - ways to success. They included in workshop material various personality traits which are necessary for an individual to achieve success like knowing what success means, qualities of successful people, goal setting, motivation, time management, making friends, self esteem, self confidence. Went through various books on the subject and interviewed people who have achieved success and came up with 3 days 3 hour workshop. Ways to success program initially was for children between the age of 13-20 as this is the age in which either the children becomes something or remains. This is the age when foundation of good qualities need to be made.Friends were called in 2-3 meetings in the month of July 2007 and thought were shared. First workshop was called on 30-31 August and 1st September 2007. There were 35 children who attended this workshop which was great success. After this the work was unstoppable, Pragati Pathik Society started receiving calls from schools, under privileged localities, collages and also Corporate for organizing workshops for students, employees. Pragati Pathik Society got registered on 5th September, 2007.

Pragati Pathik Society has been to Govt Schools, IIT Delhi, CA Institute – NIRC Vishwas Nagar, Seva Dham (Seva Bharti), Khalsa Public School-Lodhi Road, Trilokpuri, Geeta Bal Bharti School-Rajgarh, Tagore Public School-Jheel and Raghuverpura, Gyandeep Education Society-Mandawali, Nursery Teachers Training Collage-Moti Bagh etc. National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan on inv- itation of Delhi Govt to give positive thinking to teachers of NDMC Schools. Pragati Pathik was selected to be master trainer for teachers of govt schools under YUVA workshops and did the same at Navyug School, Laxmi Bai Nagar. Apart from children being trained Pragati Pathik Society also went and taught success to employees of Safico Hill Crescent Hotel-Srinagar, Dynamic Orbits, Wardrobe Drycleaners-Noida, N K Garg & Company CA firm, New Kapoor Jewelers-Krishna Nagar, . 

Fusion Microfinance Company-Bhopal, Saharanpur, T R Sawhney Motors, Hans Herbal – Saharanpur, K W Stone - Goa etc.Pragati Pathik Society also thought to foster brotherhood in Society we should organize certain awakening campaigns and every year started organizing HOLI UTSAV in the month of March and VARSHIK UTSAV – Patriotic event on foundation day 5th September - to honor those people who have done something for the Society.. 

Pragati Pathik Society created a team of 20-25 workers who were always available in case of emergency and helped when metro rail bridge collapsed in Lakshmi nagar area. Work which was appreciated by police ( Dr.Rajneesh Garg – ACP ) at that time. Pragati Pathik Society started eye donation movement and later registered it as separate trust with the name of DEKHO - RE. Till date several successful eye donations have happened because of this initiative and approximately 3000 people have pledged eyes for nation.Pragati Pathik Society started teaching children Free Computer training Centre at Shastri nagar and have trained several children. Pragati Pathik Society is also running free communication skills, English speaking classes at the centre for children. Pragati Pathik Society opens helpline and help those children who gets less numbers in exams and starts going towards drastic step for suicide due to pressure from parents and public..
